"I still believe human contact will remain important"

Johan Frodell, VD, Releasy

Releasy took home the award for Development Rocket of the Year at Indicate me's High Tech High Touch 2026. Right after the award ceremony, we sat down with CEO Johan Frodell and Head of Sales Adam Wahrén to ask what made the difference — and what comes next.

The secret? Low staff turnover and the right technology

It's not any single initiative that earned Releasy the award — it's the combination, says Johan Frodell.

"I think it's a combination of low staff turnover and the use of technology and insights."

Retaining employees while investing in tools that deliver data-driven insights has proven to be a winning formula. Stable teams that understand their customers, reinforced with data — that's the Releasy recipe.

Human contact in an AI-driven future

Just before the interview, Amer Mohammed had delivered a keynote at High Tech High Touch on the future of AI — painting a picture where, within three years, AI will communicate directly with AI, with no human in the loop. It got Johan thinking.

"You do have to reconsider things after his talk. But I still believe that human contact will remain important — and that there will be advanced AI solutions for those who want to resolve their issues that way."

Releasy doesn't see AI and human service as an either/or. It's about offering the right channel for the right customer, and letting technology handle what it does best — so people can do the same.

Next up: AI Buddy to free up time

Freeing up time for managers is a core ambition at Releasy — and that's exactly where their next initiative comes in, explains Adam Wahrén.

"We believe strongly in the AI Buddy — above all to save time for our managers, and to be able to cover a larger share of the call monitoring we do."

By letting AI support managers in their follow-up work, more calls can be reviewed, more insights surfaced — and coaching becomes sharper. That's High Tech directly in service of High Touch.
